Howell, Douglas and Shannon Counties among others have announced that they have joined the Missouri Sherriff’s Constitutional Firearms Alliance.
This alliance is designed to safeguard the constitutional rights of law abiding citizens to keep and bear arms.

The Alliance will:
- Advocate for responsible gun ownership and strict accountability for violent criminals
- Oppose and when necessary litigate against measures that infringe on 2nd amendment rights.
- Promote Public education through firearms safety resources, training events and open forums with lawmakers.
Two area board members are President Chris Degase of Douglas County and Sargant at Arms Matt Roberts, Howell County Sherriff.
