A heightened risk for severe weather is in place today across the Ozarks, with the Storm Prediction Center outlining an Enhanced (Level 3 of 5) to Moderate (Level 4 of 5) risk for severe thunderstorms. Multiple rounds of potentially strong to significant storms are expected throughout the day and into the night, posing threats of damaging winds, large hail, and possible tornadoes.
In addition to the severe storm threat, a Flood Watch is in effect from 1 PM today through 7 AM Tuesday, as heavy rainfall may lead to localized flooding.
The threat of strong to severe storms continues into Tuesday, particularly across the eastern Ozarks. Residents are urged to stay weather-aware, monitor local forecasts, and be prepared to act quickly should warnings be issued.
