Seymour Man Arrested for Domestic Assault

Hartville, MO. – The Wright County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Seymour man on Domestic Assault charges Sunday night. Christopher Gilmartin, age 42 of Seymour, is charged with Domestic Assault 1st degree, Domestic Assault 2nd degree, two counts of Armed criminal action, and unlawful use of a weapon. Gilmartin is being held on a $50,000 cash only bond.
 
On May 15, 2022 at approximately 2:10 a.m. Corporal Campbell with the Wright County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a residence on Cedar Gap Central Lane for a report of a domestic. Dispatch advised they had a call stating a female was being held with a knife and had a mirror broke over her back.
 
The victim stated that Christopher Gilmartin had broke a mirror over her back and held her on the ground with a knife to her throat stating he was going to kill her.
 
Gilmartin was arrested and transported to Wright County Jail, where he is currently being held.
