According to a probable cause statement Chad Stephen Andrews of Birch Tree was arrested for Assault on May 1st. 2025. A Shannon County Sherriff’s Department Deputy was dispatched to the apartments where the victim and the accused live. The victim stated that Andrews had been drinking, slammed her against the wall and choked her. The officer then went to the accused apartment and questioned Andrews. After escorting him to the patrol car a blood alcohol test was conducted which showed his Blood Alcohol Level to be .118, He was arrested for Assault 1st degree, he was also on probation and parole for prior charges.
