EDIT: Bakersfield Man Arrested for Leaving the Scene and Other Infractions

On Thursday May 1st just before 6:00 p.m. a Bakersfield man, William E. Bridges 47, was arrested for multiple offenses including Driving while Intoxicated, Leaving the scene of an accident hit and run, leaving the scene with property damage exceeding $1,000, careless and imprudent driving, failure to register a motor vehicle, and no insurance.  He was transported to Ozark County Jail.

Extra information has been released on this case, giving further insight on the arrest. This happened due to the driver, William E. Bridges, 47, crashing into two vehicles in Bakersfield before trying to leave the scene of the accident. 

Bridges was taken into custody in the follow up of the crash after driving his vehicle on three wheels through Bakersfield, before eventually going off the road on Route O, where his vehicle stopped. After being arrested, Bridges’ blood-alcohol level was found to be at .353%, putting him roughly around 4.5 times over the legal limit.
