Sharp County Weekly Arrest Report and Community Service Update

Sharp County, AR – June 3, 2025 – The Sharp County Sheriff’s Office has released its weekly incarceration and community service report for the period of May 27 through June 2, 2025. Chief Deputy Kevin “Bart” Simpson provided details regarding arrests made and community projects completed under the county’s inmate service program.

During the reporting period, eleven individuals were booked into the Sharp County Detention Center on various charges:

  • Chad Bailey, 43, of Evening Shade, was arrested for False Imprisonment in the First Degree.

  • Justin Burton, 40, also of Evening Shade, faces charges of Domestic Battering in the Third Degree and Criminal Mischief in the First Degree involving property damage under $1,000.

  • Nathaniel Christopher, 42, of Cave City, was arrested for Domestic Battering in the Third Degree and Aggravated Assault on a Family or Household Member.

  • Amanda Hicks, 39, of Hardy, was taken into custody for Failure to Pay Time Pay on a previous charge of Endangering the Welfare of a Minor in the Third Degree, along with Driving on a Suspended or Revoked License and Contempt for Failure to Pay.

  • Antoine Holder, 37, of Pine Bluff, was arrested for a Parole/Probation Violation.

  • Clint Johnson, 59, of Evening Shade, was charged with Battery in the Second Degree for recklessly causing injury using a deadly weapon.

  • Robbie Mashburn, 49, of Cave City, was arrested for Contempt for Failing to Pay Restitution.

  • John Rutledge, 47, of Williford, was booked for Stalking in the First Degree, Violation of a No Contact Order, and Bond Revocation.

  • Clinton Scarlett, 30, of Smithville, was arrested for Public Intoxication.

  • Jason Vandergrift, 49, of Cave City, was held on a warrant for another county or state.

  • Devin Wiggins, 31, of Batesville, was arrested for Domestic Battering in the Third Degree.

In addition to law enforcement activities, Sharp County inmates contributed a total of 304 community service hours during the week of May 25 through May 31. Under the supervision of Coordinator Brian Watson, inmates completed service work at the Sharp Cemetery in Evening Shade, Tri County Recycling, and public spaces, including Poughkeepsie, Loberg Park, and Hardy Beach.

The inmate work program is designed to allow individuals to work off fines while giving back to the community. Officials note that this initiative has provided significant support to local maintenance and beautification efforts.
