From the Wright County Sheriff’s Department:
On March 2, 2026, the Wright County Sheriff’s Office received a report from a resident near Macomb regarding the discovery of skeletal remains on private property.
Investigators responded and confirmed the remains to be human skeletal remains. Based on the initial assessment, the remains appear to be old. The identity of the deceased is currently unknown. There is no danger to the public, and this appears to be an isolated discovery.
The remains have been transported for further forensic examination and identification. The investigation is ongoing.
