Missouri Budget Director Dan Haug announced that net general revenue collections for June 2025 totaled $1.28 billion, marking a 1.5% increase over the $1.26 billion collected in June 2024.
Despite the monthly gain, total net revenue for the full 2025 fiscal year remained flat at $13.43 billion—identical to the total collected in FY2024.
Key highlights from the June report include:
- Individual Income Tax: Up 1.3% for the year, reaching $9.17 billion, and up 2.6% for the month.
- Pass-Through Entity Tax: Down 3.7% annually to $718.6 million, though up 4.5% for June.
- Sales and Use Tax: Rose 1.2% for the year and jumped 17.9% for the month.
- Corporate Income & Franchise Tax: Fell 5.4% over the year to $994.2 million, but increased 7.3% in June.
- Other Revenue: Gained 3.6% annually but declined 14.4% in monthly figures.
- Refunds: Increased significantly—up 6.5% for the year and 73.9% for the month—totaling $1.75 billion.
Officials noted that changes in reporting categories, including the reclassification of Pass-Through Entity tax collections, have impacted year-over-year comparisons, particularly within individual income tax data.
The figures represent a financial snapshot and are subject to seasonal and economic fluctuations, Haug noted.
