On July 28, 2020, the Texas County Sheriff’s Office and the Missouri Department of Social Services Children’s Division opened an investigation into a report of sexual abuse. The allegations included that a 28-year-old male had sexual contact with two juvenile victims under the age of 10. After completion of the investigation and forensic interviews the suspect was taken into custody. Michael Saiz was arrested at his residence in the Raymondville area on August 25th and interviewed. The investigation is ongoing, and it is believed there are additional victims.
Texas County Prosecuting Attorney Parke Stevens charged Michael R. Saiz, age 28 of Raymondville with two counts of Statutory Rape 1st Degree victim under 12 years old. Saiz was held in the Texas County Jail pending $500,000 bond.
The above charges are mere accusations and are not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
