West Plains, MO. – The Avenue Theatre on Washington Avenue in West Plains has announced its Second Annual Fall Spectacular: Steel Magnolias.
Steel Magnolias is a comedy-drama play and 1989 film about a woman who recently moved to a Louisana town, begins working at a local salon, and develops friendships with a small group of women.
The production will be for six adult women between 19 and 91. Depending on turnout, two casts could be decided on.
Open Auditions will be held on Saturday, August 5 at 6 pm and Sunday, August 6 at 2 pm.

Auditions will be a cold read from the script.
Rehearsals will begin on Tuesday, September 5th, and be held every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Performances will be held October 13-29, 2023.
