Marion County Sheriff Gregg Alexander reports the arrest of STEVEN M. MANSON (35
YOM), STEVEN L. MANSON (56 YOM), and DEZERAE S. MANSON (19 YOF), all of
Yellville, on charges of Rape, a Class “Y” Felony, Incest, a Class “C” Felony, Sexual
Assault 2nd Degree, a Class “B” Felony, Conduct Constituting Conspiracy, a Class “A”
Felony, Coercion, a Class “A” Misdemeanor, and being an Habitual Offender.
On 03/07/26, a female victim reported to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO)
that she had been raped at a residence on Marion County (MC) road 8054, Yellville.
During an interview with MCSO Investigators, the female victim stated while at the
residence, STEVEN M. MANSON, and who the victim knew to be his girlfriend,
DEZERAE S. MANSON, sexually assaulted her in a shower and afterward was taken to
a bedroom where she was again sexually assaulted and raped. The victim also
reported STEVEN M. MANSON and DEZERAE MANSON, who is also his
stepdaughter, engaged in sexual intercourse. The victim then reported that while she
was trying to leave the residence, she was offered a controlled substance outside by
STEVEN L. MANSON and was then taken back inside where she later overheard a
conversation between STEVEN L. MANSON and another individual saying they could
“have their way with her” also. The victim stated she was able to flee the residence to a
neighbor’s house where 911 was called.
The victim was taken to Baxter Health in Mountain for treatment and a SANE exam. On
03/10/26, the victim was forensically interviewed at an Advocacy Center in Mountain
Home and again disclosed and confirmed the allegations made during her previous
interview with MCSO Investigators.
On 03/13/26, MCSO Investigators executed a search warrant at the MANSON
residence. The scene was processed and multiple items of potential evidence were
seized for testing at the Arkansas State Crime Lab (ASCL).
STEVEN M. MANSON is charged with Rape, a Class “Y” Felony”, Incest, a Class “C”
Felony, Sexual Assault 2nd Degree, a Class “B” Felony, Coercion, a Class “A”
Misdemeanor, and being an Habitual Offender. MANSON is currently a Level II Sex
Offender registered in Marion County. An affidavit for the arrest of MANSON was
prepared for the above listed charges and submitted to the Marion County Circuit
Court. The affidavit was approved and a warrant for his arrest was issued with a bond
set at $500,000.00 dollars. A query of MANSON’S criminal history shows he is a
convicted felon from the state of Illinois and has previously been charged in the Circuit
Court of Marion County with the offenses of Rape (Class Y Felony) and 1st Degree
Terroristic Threatening involving a minor female victim and is currently on bond on
those charges.
STEVEN L. MANSON is charged with Terroristic Threatening, a Class “D” Felony,
Conduct Constituting Conspiracy, a Class “A” Felony and Coercion, a Class “A”
Misdemeanor. An affidavit for the arrest of STEVEN L. MANSON was prepared for the
above-mentioned charges and submitted to the Marion County Circuit Court. The
affidavit was approved and a warrant for his arrest was issued with a bond set at
$50,000.00 dollars.
DEZERAE MANSON is charged with Rape, a Class “Y” Felony, Sexual Assault 2nd
Degree, a Class “B” Felony, and Coercion, a Class “A” Misdemeanor. An affidavit for
the arrest of DEZERAE MANSON was prepared for the above-mentioned charges and
submitted to the Marion County Circuit Court. The affidavit was approved and a
warrant for her arrest was issued with a bond set at $25,000.00 dollars.
