West Plains, MO. – According to a probable cause statement obtained today, a man from Howell County is being sought by the Howell County Sheriff’s Department, and is likely hiding in Arkansas to avoid arrest.
Daniel R Young, 31, is wanted for the felony of stealing an object valued at over $25,000.
On September 19th, Deputy Shaun Duggins received a report of a stolen 6130D John Deere tractor. As part of the investigation, he made contact with a local who had stated she had spotted the missing tractor on County Road 4220 around West Plains, and a male walking away from it. The tractor was recovered, and valued at around or above $75,000.
The male was correctly identified later as Daniel Young. Further investigation revealed that Young had fled to Arkansas not long after this event took place, and that he had another outstanding warrant from another county in Missouri. It is believed he is hiding in Arkansas to avoid charges and arrest.
