Ellsinore, MO. – The Carter County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop over the past week that led to the confiscation of several types of drugs and one arrest.
This took place on May 28th on Highway 60 near Ellsinore. K9 Braun was dispatched along with the search, who quickly alerted to the presence of drugs. Illegal substances included fentanyl, oxy, xanax, 3 ounces of suspected meth, and more. Also seized were firearms, various drug paraphernalia, and a large sum of cash.

Roy Winters of Piedmont was arrested, and is looking at felony charges including Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, and Delivery of a Controlled Substance.
He was placed under arrest with no bond.
