Alton, Mo. – Two Alton girls were injured in a Thursday afternoon ATV accident on County Road 113, three miles northeast of Alton. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, the accident occurred at 2 p.m on November 11.
A northbound Kawasaki ATV driven by a 17-year-old female traveled off the roadway after the driver lost control, ejecting the driver and the 12-year-old female passenger. Neither juvenile had been wearing a safety device.

The 12-year-old passenger suffered minor injuries and was taken by private vehicle to Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains for treatment. The driver had serious injuries and needed to be airlifted to St. Louis Children’s Hospital.
