At approximately 2:56 a.m., Baxter County deputies were dispatched to a reported fight in progress at the residence. Deputies arrived on scene at around 3:08 a.m. and made contact with a male and female at the location. The individuals stated that Hayley Lynn Davis, the male’s ex-wife, had arrived at the residence visibly upset because the female was staying there.

According to reports, Davis exited her vehicle armed with a tire iron and began swinging it at the male victim. He retreated into the home and locked the door, while the other female was already inside. Davis allegedly kicked in the front door and forced her way inside. The female had locked herself in a back bathroom, but Davis reportedly broke in and began assaulting her by punching her in the head and pulling her hair.

During the altercation, a second male—Andrew Robert Harkreader—entered the home and allegedly restrained the male victim, preventing him from helping the woman being attacked.

Eventually, Davis and Harkreader exited the home. The victims stated they believed they heard a gunshot outside, though no firearm was located.

Deputies searched the area but initially were unable to locate the suspects. A canine tracking team from the Arkansas Division of Corrections – North Central Unit was brought in to assist. At approximately 5:50 a.m., Harkreader was found nearby and taken into custody.

Later, authorities were informed that Davis had been picked up by a passing motorist and taken to a residence on Winterberry Drive in Salesville. Her location was confirmed through cell phone tracking. Deputies responded and located Davis near Boggs Drive at approximately 8:46 a.m. She had changed her clothing since the incident, but her original outfit was recovered and taken as evidence.

No firearm was found.

Both suspects were booked into the Baxter County Detention Center on the following charges:

Hayley Lynn Davis, 29, of rural Mountain Home:

  • Residential Burglary – Felony

  • Aggravated Assault – Felony

  • Battery in the Third Degree – Misdemeanor

She is being held on $25,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Baxter County Circuit Court on July 21.

Andrew Robert Harkreader, 36, of Salesville:

  • Battery in the Third Degree – Misdemeanor

He is being held on $500 bond and is set to appear in Baxter County District Court on August 14.
