On June 12th of 2022 at roughly 12:20 AM, Corporal Campbell of the Wright County Sheriff’s Office attempted to make a traffic stop on a vehicle that was traveling at a high rate of speed on Highway U.
The vehicle eventually turned toward a residence, driving through a yard and hitting a fence. It was then that a female suspect attempted to flee on foot from the vehicle. A search of the area, with the help of K9 Mick, both suspects were apprehended and evidence was collected.

Arrested were John Sheets, 48, and Gina Whiting, 30, both of Mansfield. Evidence included a glass pipe that tested positive for methamphetamine, and marijuana. In addition, Whiting had a no-bond warrant out of Webster County.
