Two Birch Tree residents were injured in a crash on Sunday on Highway 99 at First Street in Birch Tree.
The accident occurred when a 2008 Ford Edge driven by a 31-year-old Birch Tree man entered the roadway and struck a 2016 Chevy Silverado driven by a 37-year-old Birch Tree woman.

Both the 37-year-old driver and her 38-year-old male passenger sustained minor injuries and were taken to Mercy St. Francis Hospital in Mountain View by private vehicle. The driver of the Edge was not injured according to the Highway Patrol Crash Report.
