Two charged in Mtn. Grove assault

HOUSTON, Mo. — Two people face charges following an assault in Mountain Grove on Sunday.

27-year-old Danny Nungesser of Mountain Grove and 35-year-old Stacey Sartor of Mountain Grove were charged with 1st-degree assault, armed criminal action, property damage and unlawful use of a weapon. Nungesser also faces a charge of violating an order of protection.

Texas County deputies were called to Pointer Road in the Mountain Grove on Sunday, November 3 for an assault. Three female subjects reported they were inside a parked vehicle and were approached by Nungesser and Sartor. Nungesser then reportedly reached through an open window and hit one female with a metal bar. Another female exited the vehicle and was thrown to the ground by Sartor and was later struck by Sartor with the bar. Sartor also reportedly obtained a baseball bat and broke the windshield of the vehicle before leaving the scene.

One of the female victims was transported by EMS for treatment of injuries. A child was also inside the vehicle but was not reported injured.

The suspects left the scene and were later located by the Mountain Grove Police Department.

At report time Nungesser and Sartor are being held in the Texas County Jail on $750,000 bond each.
