Two Douglas County Men Facing Drug Charges

Douglas County deputies arrested two men following the execution of a search warrant at a residence on County Road 181‑356 in Dora on January 23. According to a probable cause statement, officers located multiple items that field‑tested positive for methamphetamine, including snort straws, a spoon, a flashlight, and a large bag containing a crystalline substance, along with approximately 70 unused small baggies.

Deputies identified the bedroom where most of the paraphernalia and suspected methamphetamine were found as belonging to Charles Sanders. Sanders and Elvin Smith were both detained at the scene and later taken into custody.

Sanders is charged with delivery of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Smith is charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
