Mountain View Police Department Responds to Two-Vehicle Collision on U.S. Highway 60
On June 23, 2025, at approximately 12:49 p.m., the Mountain View Police Department was dispatched to a two-vehicle collision on U.S. Highway 60 near the west city limits of Mountain View.
Upon arrival, Assistant Chief Schwien discovered that the crash involved multiple individuals who were entrapped and required rescue operations. First responders of the Mountain View Fire Department, worked swiftly to extricate the occupants from the vehicles.
Multiple individuals were transported from the scene to receive medical treatment. Our thoughts and best wishes are with those injured and their families during this time.
The Mountain View Police Department would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Mountain View Fire Department, Mercy Mountain View Ambulance, Willow Springs Ambulance District, and all other agencies that responded so quickly. We would also like to thank the members of the public who stopped to assist, offering help on an extremely hot day.
