Izard County Sheriff’s Office Releases Weekly Incarceration Report

Izard County, Ark. – The Izard County Sheriff’s Office has released its weekly incarceration report for the week ending June 23, 2025. According to Sheriff Charley Melton, a total of seven individuals were booked into the Izard County Detention Center over the past week on a range of charges.

  • Edward Macias, 52, of Horseshoe Bend, was arrested on June 16 for disorderly conduct.

  • Hunter Townsley, 27, also of Horseshoe Bend, was taken into custody the same day for probation violations.

  • Kaleb Welch, 31, of Pineville, was arrested on June 16 for violating the conditions of release.

  • Shawn James, 51, of Little Rock, was arrested on June 20 for possession of a controlled substance, public intoxication, and possession of an open container of alcohol.

  • Nathaniel Dean, 25, of Brockwell, was arrested on June 21 for multiple offenses, including speeding, failure to wear a seat belt, driving on a suspended license, and driving while intoxicated (DWI)–2nd offense.

  • Kevin Buton, 46, of Franklin, was arrested on June 22 for reckless driving, driving left of center, open container violation, DWI, refusal to submit to a chemical test, and possession of a controlled substance.

  • Jacob Darnell, 26, of Mount Pleasant, was arrested on June 23 for driving while intoxicated (DWI).

The Izard County Sheriff’s Office reminds the public that all individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
