Missouri – There are three upcoming blood drives in the area for May. Local facilities and the American Red Cross are asking people to step up and donate their blood to help save the lives of the people who need it.
Two of the blood drives will be held by the Community Blood Center of the Ozarks. On Friday, May 10, the Willow Springs Community Blood Drive will take place at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Fellowship Hall from 12:00 to 5:00. Also on May 10, the Mountain View Community Blood Drive will take place at the Community Center in the Community Room from 12:30 to 5:30. If you successfully donate blood at either of these locations the donors will receive a three-quarter sleeve Springfield Cardinals Baseball t-shirt and two free tickets to an upcoming Cardinals game. This will continue while supplies last. The Community Blood Center is encouraging appointments if you don’t want to wait in line. To make an appointment call 417-227-5006 or visit cbco.org/baseball.
The last blood drive is the American Red Cross blood drive at the Alton High School. The blood drive will take place in the main room of the school on Monday, May 13, 2024, from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
