A 19-year-old Viola man sustained minor injuries after an accident 15 miles south of West Plains on Highway 142.
The accident occurred when he ran off the side of the highway and struck a tree in a 2006 Ford Escape. He was transported by patrol car to Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains.

The driver Layton J. Smith is charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Failure to Maintain the Right Half of the Roadway Resulting in an Accident.
