From the Shannon County Sheriff’s Department:
On Sunday, August 24, 2025, at approximately 12:50 PM, the Shannon County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a stolen 2012 silver Dodge Ram dually from 6696 County Road 648, Birch Tree, Missouri.
Our Central Dispatch immediately contacted Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop G to enter the vehicle into the stolen vehicle system.
At approximately 1:19 PM, the Carter County Sheriff’s Office located the stolen vehicle. A pursuit ensued, crossing into Reynolds County, where Reynolds County Sheriff and MSHP Troopers joined the chase. The pursuit ultimately concluded in Iron County, where the driver was taken into custody without further incident.
The driver was identified as Thomas Stark, who was identified as the driver and was found to have felony absconder warrants from Probation & Parole for:
Resisting arrest
Possession and delivery of a controlled substance
Driving while intoxicated (DWI)
The warrant was valid for U.S.-wide extradition.
Following the pursuit, a firearm was located inside the recovered stolen vehicle. This weapon was secured as evidence, and further investigation is ongoing.
Additional criminal charges related to this incident, including potential firearm violations, are pending.
