Clayton Landrigan was wanted on multiple warrants out of Christian County and October 5, 2025, Deputy Evans and Deputy Hardin were patrolling on Highway U in Northern Douglas County, where they met the vehicle with he was a passenger in. The driver pulled into a driveway where Landrigan jumped a barbed wire fence and fled into a heavily wooded area. Methamphetamine was seized from the vehicle. Sheriff Degase and Deputies searched throughout the night for Landrigan but were unable to locate him.
Authorities announced on Monday evening that the fugitive had been apprehended by Deputy, Wilson, Deputy Harley, Deputy Evans, Sgt. Box and Ava PD Officer Stroud north of Ava and he was transported to the Douglas County Jail.
