West Plains, MO. – The Boys and Girls Club of the Greater West Plains Area will be holding lock-in events during the first two weekends in June.
These events will be separated into a boys lock-in and a girls lock-in on separate weekends. Both overnight events will be for ages 11 to 17 and will be free and open to the public.
The Boys Lock-In will be held on Friday, June 4 to Saturday, June 5. The Girls Lock-In will be held on Friday, June 10 to Saturday, June 11. For both events, drop off will be Friday night at 6 p.m. and pick up will be at 9 a.m. Saturday.
Fun events and speakers are planned for both weekends. The Boys Lock-In will offer a “Passport to Manhood”, with discussions about hygiene, kindness, teamwork, and responsibility. The Girls Lock-In will offer a similar event called a “Smart Girl Program”. Both events will come with dinner, snacks, and memorable times for those involved.
