On May 11th West Plains Police Department arrested Justin A. Coffman and charged him with Driving while Revoked or Suspended, Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. According to a probable cause statement West Plains Police Officer Shell initiated a traffic stop on Coffman and asked him to provide his license and insurance. Coffman stated that he did not have a license, and the car did have insurance. Shell asked if he had anything illegal in the car and consent to search. Coffman denied consent stating that the sheriff’s department had just searched it and found nothing. Once his information came back of no license he was placed under arrest. A free air sniff was conducted by the Howell County K-9 and alerted officers of narcotics. The probable cause search produced two baggies that later tested positive for meth and a glass smoking pipe. His bond was set at $5,000 Cash or Corporate Surety.
