West Plains, Mo. – The West Plains man accused of murdering James Vineyard was found not guilty during his trial last week.
Damian Henry of West Plains was charged with 1st Degree Murder and Armed Criminal Action for the events on April 5, 2022 that led to the death of James Vineyard. The trial was scheduled to last three days and began on January 11th.
During the incident, Vineyard and Henry were at the 14-Junction gas station just before 11 p.m. on April 5th when Vineyard was shot multiple times and Henry fled the scene.
Henry was found after police were given information by witnesses stated a Red Chevy Avalanche had left the scene. Henry reportedly shot Vineyard several times who succumbed to his injuries after being transported to Ozarks Healthcare.
