A 52‑year‑old West Plains man was taken to Baxter Regional Hospital after a single‑vehicle crash Saturday evening on Highway 101, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Troopers say the crash happened around 7:50 p.m., about half a mile south of Bakersfield. The northbound 2011 Ford Focus ran off the roadway, struck a fence, went down an embankment, and hit a tree.
The driver, who was wearing a seat belt, sustained minor injuries and was transported by Howell County Ambulance.
The crash was investigated by Cpl. D.J. Johnson.
