West Plains Recycling Sets Recycling Goal of 2.6 Million lbs in 2026

West Plains, MO. – Yesterday, as we began the first full week of January 2026, West Plains Recycling set a goal for itself to make a massive impact this year, and they’re asking the public for help in making it possible.

The goal is to recycle 2.6 million pounds of trash in 2026, making their goal “2.6 in ’26”. They go on to say that their goals for the year also include improving local recycling education, increasing community engagement through events, and exploring improvements that make recycling more accessible to the public.

However, this goal will likely not be possible without the help of the public, and so West Plains Recycling is also asking residents to pitch in by making smart daily choices, recycling correctly, reducing contamination, and encouraging others to participate.
