Licking, MO. – The Licking Police Department arrested one man yesterday, which led to the discovery of over 280 grams of methamphetamine.
This arrest began as a Licking PD officer witnessed a vehicle failing to maintain its lane on Highway 63. A traffic stop was initiated, but the driver attempted to flee. The chase ended after a short pursuit, and Jacob Kelly, a 36-year-old man from Winona, was taken into custody.
Law enforcement searched the vehicle and Kelly’s belongings, which produced the meth that was found during the investigation.
Kelly is now looking at multiple felony charges including 1st Degree Drug Trafficking, Tampering with Physical Evidence, and Resisting Arrest by Fleeing. He is also facing one misdemeanor charge of Failure to Drive on the Right Half of the Roadway.
