Winona, MO – Sunday morning, a Winona woman succumbed to injuries sustained in a crash Friday night. The accident occurred on Highway 19, two miles north of Winona at 5:37 p.m. October 15, 2021.
A 1998 Ford Ranger was southbound and ran off the left side of the roadway, striking a tree. An occupant of the vehicle, Shelby Lawrence, 23 of Winona, was flown to Cox South Hospital for treatment of her injuries. At 7:33 a.m. on October 17, 2021, Lawrence passed away from her injuries. According to the report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the driver of the Ford Ranger is unknown.
This accident was investigated by Trooper N. Frazier of Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop G. This is Troop G’s 28th fatality for 2021 as compared to 33 in 2020.
