Wright County Man Turns Himself in After Domestic Call

On August 16, 2025, Corporal Campbell with the Wright County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a domestic disturbance involving a firearm near Mountain Grove.  Due to the nature of the call, assistance from the Mountain Grove Police Department was requested.
Upon arrival, it was discovered that the suspect, Matthew A. Brown (42), had fled the scene. Through investigation, Corporal Campbell determined that Brown had fired a firearm, striking the porch, and had also fired a shot inside the residence. The victims fled into the woods to escape the situation.
A no-bond warrant was issued for Brown. On August 20, 2025, Brown turned himself in to law enforcement officials. He was later released the same day on a $10,000 cash bond, with GPS monitoring, house arrest, and other standard conditions.
