Wright County Woman Apprehended After Multi-Agency Search

On November 6, 2025, Wright County deputies responded to a report of a female walking near 7515 Morning Sun Drive in Mountain Grove, Missouri. Witness 1 provided Ring camera footage identifying the woman as Elizabeth Miller, who had active felony warrants for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Escape from Custody. Miller had been evading law enforcement since her escape on October 31.

Deputies searched the heavily wooded 110-acre area surrounding the property with assistance from drone surveillance and K9 units. A truck seen near a fire was intercepted, and its driver—also wanted on a Wright County warrant—reported that Miller had fled on foot. Despite hours of searching and hearing Miller yelling from the woods, deputies were unable to locate her.

On November 8, a citizen reported seeing a woman matching Miller’s description along Highway W. A coordinated search was launched by Wright County deputies, Mountain Grove Police, the Wright County Special Operations Group, Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers, and a Missouri Department of Conservation agent. Witness 2 provided a trail camera image showing Miller carrying a large bottle of whiskey.

After four hours, Miller was located and resisted arrest by fighting, kicking, and refusing commands. With assistance from Mansfield Police Chief Robert Snokhous, she was secured in a patrol vehicle. At the scene, deputies recovered the whiskey bottle and three small baggies containing approximately 3.5 grams of methamphetamine, which Miller had attempted to discard.

Elizabeth Miller was taken into custody and faces charges of Resisting a Felony Arrest and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
