Services will be at 3:00pm for Barbara “Kay” Haney of Alton, MO Sunday, Juily 6,2025 at the Clary Funeral Home, Alton, MO with visitation from 2:00pm until service time. Burial will be in the Hickory Grove Cemetery.
Barbara Kay (Campbell) Haney was born to Arley and Gladys (Mullins) Campbell on March 9, 1944. She entered the kingdom of heaven on July 2, 2025.
Kay attended Blackjack Grade School and then Alton High School, graduating in 1962. After graduation, Kay moved to St. Louis, Mo., where she met Manuel.
On February 9, 1963, Kay married Manuel Lee Haney in Alton, Mo. Three sons were born to them — Christopher in 1963, Curtis in 1965 and Daryl in 1972.
Kay was wife, mother and the bookkeeper to a family roofing company, C&;H Roofing, which they established in 1966 in St. Louis.
Kay and Manuel established a family automotive business in 1982, and it is still successfully in operation today under the management of their three sons. Kay faithfully worked alongside her family for the last 59 years.
Kay is survived by brother, Larry Eugene Campbell. Her sons: Chris and Glennette (Booker) Haney; Curtis and Tina (Booker) Haney; and Daryl and Michelle (Butler) Haney. Grandchildren: Aaron and Brittany (Sisco) Haney; Tiffany (Haney) and Robert Stagg; Tabitha (Haney) and Chandler Davis; Andrea (Haney) and Nick Beene; Isaac and Kate (Owen) Haney; Gavin and Claire (Lester) Haney; Ashely Fort; and Gabriella Haney. Great grandchildren: Miley Haney; Mason Haney; Ava Stagg; Marshall Davis; Daisy Davis; Nash Beene; Adalynn Haney; and Whitley Haney. As well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Kay is preceded in death by her husband, Manuel; parents; brothers Ronald Campbell and Roger Campbell; grandparents Aria and Ellen (Bell) Campbell and Jesse and Florence (Jackson) Mullins and other loved ones.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Gideons International to distribute free copies of the Bible worldwide.
