Barbara Louise Edwards, 95, West Plains, Missouri, passed away October 31, 2025 at Ozarks Health Center, West Plains, Missouri.
She was born January 16, 1930 in Bellflower, Missouri to the late Durwood Eugene Edwards and Ruth “Copenhagen” Edwards.
She is survived by three children, Martha Yarbrough and husband Chris, West Plains, Missouri, Kathleen Koppitz and husband Richard, Springfield, Missouri, and Deborah Romans and husband Charlie, West Plains, Missouri; one brother, Glenn Edwards and wife Ruth Ann Edwards, Ozark, Missouri; two sisters, Genola Hawkins and husband Bill, Troy, Missouri, and Phyllis Rupp, Bolivar, Missouri; ten grandchildren, Michelle, Melinda, Bryan, Christopher, Matthew, Chris, Julie, Haven, Heath, and Sky; several great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren, plus many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Dudley Edwards; the father of her children, Richard Dyer; one brother, Eugene Edwards and two sisters, Drusilla Edwards and Jean Edwards.
She worked on their farm for many years, right up until a few years before she passed away. She did all the things necessary that were to be done on a farm, including bushhogging, and all at the age of 90 plus. She had a strong love of horses that will live on in her children and grandchildren.
She will be missed greatly by all the people who knew and loved her.
Funeral services for Barbara Louise Edwards will be Saturday, November 8, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home Chapel.
There will be a visitation time from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m.
Burial will held at Howell Valley Cemetery, Howell County, Missouri, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains.
