Clara Marie Parker

Marie (Lowery) Parker was born on January 1, 1930, to Lee and Maude (Graham) Lowery. Marie went to be with her Lord on November 13, 2021.

She grew up in Eminence, Missouri, where she enjoyed riding on the mail route with her dad to Fremont. Marie also helped her mom in her restaurant or visited her sister, Beatrice, in her hair salon. After graduating, she worked in Kansas City for the telephone company and then moved to the St. Louis area when Bea moved there to teach. Marie loved working with numbers and was very savvy in finances. She worked for many years at Millman Lumber Company’s corporate office in St. Louis, Missouri.

Marie was of the Baptist faith. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church of High Ridge, Missouri, and then transferred her membership back to her home church, First Baptist Church of Eminence.

She was fondly known as ReRe to those who loved her. Marie never had children of her own, so her sister Bea gladly shared her family. ReRe loved games and quiz shows. There was always a game of cards or a board game going on when we gathered. Marie was also an avid bowler; she won many trophies and bowled a few perfect games. She also loved the St. Louis Cardinals, and they attended many games at Busch Stadium.

As they retired and were getting unable to take care of each other, Marie finally talked Bea into moving back down to the “country” as they called it. Marie lived in Winona near family until she suffered a stroke and then resided in Rock Point Nursing Center in Birch Tree, Missouri.

Marie is preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Maude; sisters, Bess Lowery and Beatrice (Lowery) Williams; nephew, Earl Clark Williams, Jr.; and one great-nephew, James Earl “Jim” Williams.

She leaves behind her niece, Charlotte (Williams) Cox; great-nieces and nephew, Lisa Simpson and Stacy Haynes of Winona, Suzanne Kleiber, Diane Williams, and Jeffery Williams of Indianapolis, IN; great-great nieces and nephews, Brianne Yardley, Brittney Thompson, Brady Haynes, Cody Haynes, Hattin Yardley, Jase, Landon, and Eli Thompson, all of Winona, Kris Williams, Chelsea, Maverick, Michael, and Maddox Cagle, Anthony Hauger; Matthew Anderson, and Tristan Williams all of Indiana; niece-in-law, Kathy Williams Salter also of Indianapolis, IN; and numerous friends.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at 1:00 p.m., at New Eminence Cemetery, Eminence, Missouri, with Bro. Alan Stringer officiating, under the direction of Yarber Mortuary, Eminence. Condolences may be expressed at www.yarbermortuary.com
