He is survived by his only brother, Charles “Lynn” Norris (Angie) of Winona MO, who always stuck by his side through thick and thin, no matter what; one niece Kristen Krueger (Jake), of Houston MO, she was the apple of his eye from the day she was born; and one very special “great” niece Laine Krueger, whom he loved dearly. He would always “light up” when showing him pictures or videos of her. He is further survived by two special friends, Ashley Rector, he considered her as his little sis, and Charlotte Allmon, who took care of him as one of her own, they both remained true to him till the very end; and one aunt, Louise Lyons of Van Buren, MO, who loved him dearly.

Curtis wasn’t a boastful man but took pride in his career paths. He worked in hotel management in Springfield, Missouri, then continued that in St. Louis before he landed his first job with Community Action of St. Louis. While he liked the city life, his roots were here. He continued his passion for helping people in October of 2005, working for SCMCAA for nearly 20 years. He was proud of the Bachelor’s degree in Business that he received in 2016; the intelligence he possessed was unmatched.

Curtis was kind, thoughtful, and always put others before himself. He was witty, smart, generous, and humble. But he could be quite stubborn at times, and lived his life on his own terms and no one else’s. He loved to cook, make flower arrangements and other craft projects, reminisce about the old days, spoil his cats, and go to haunted houses every October. He also enjoyed poetry. He had a secret passion for becoming an author one day, little did he know he wrote us all the best story. A life that was full, content, and memorable. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 7, 2025, at Yarber Mortuary in Winona, Missouri, with Nicky Smotherman officiating.
