William Elvis Plunk, 90-year-old resident of Doniphan, MO, departed this life Saturday, May 10, 2025. He was born on January 20, 1935, in Ripley County to the late Elisha and Neva (Roberts) Plunk
Elvis’s warm and friendly personality made him a beloved member of the Doniphan community, as he enjoyed joking and telling stories with everyone. He was a member of the Doniphan Assembly of God and served in the Missouri National Guard. He liked to fish and watch after the goats he raised. Elvis worked as a machinist for Colt Industries.
Elvis was preceded in death by his wives Lucille, Pearl, and Barbara.
Surviving are his children, Kevin (Mary) Plunk of Bothell, WA and Marvin (Dora) Plunk of Parker, WA; sisters, Betty (Eugene) Esmon of Doniphan, Roberta Crook of Qunicy, IL, and Alberta Moody of Doniphan; brothers, Harlen (Oleta) Plunk of Doniphan and Lonnie (Peggy) Plunk of Villa Ridge, MO; and seven grandchildren, David, Amanda, Tiffaney, Michael, Isaac, and Payley.
In addition to his parents, Elvis was preceded in death by a daughter, Debbie Plunk; brothers, George, Bill, Jerry, Ronnie, Ronald, Buddy, and Charles; and a grandchild, Danika Plunk.
Visitation will be held in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, beginning at 10 a.m., with the funeral service to follow at 12:00 p.m. Pastor Kevin Crader will be officiating, and burial will be in Plunk Cemetery.
