Memorial Services for Evelyn Cornelius, Age 74 of Mountain Grove, Missouri will be held on Saturday, January, 31st, 2026 at The Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home, Mountain Grove, Missouri, beginning at 10:00 AM.
Evelyn Marie Cornelius was born to Toby and Nellie Parsons on February 20, 1951 in Blanche, Missouri. She departed this life on January 20, 2026 at her home in Mountain Grove, Missouri at the age of 74.
She was united in marriage to James Jim Cornelius on March 6, 1971 in Hayward, California.
Evelyn worked as a secretary for a trucking transportation company for many years.
One of her greatest joys was that of being a homemaker and grandmother. Her grandchildren were a delight to her and she loved spending time with them. In addition, it has been said that Evelyn enjoyed watching NASCAR races in her free time.
Evelyn is preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Sandy Schrader and son, Buddy Lee Cornelius.
She is survived by her husband, Jim Cornelius, three grandchildren, Jamie Cornelius-Schrader, Mali’e Schrader, and Kalia Schrader, and special friends, Teresa Foster and Rick Emery.
