Gale Findley

Gale Linn Findley, 63, of Mansfield, Missouri, met Jesus face to face on October 16, 2025. He was born at Burge Hospital in Springfield, Missouri, on April 25, 1962, to Paul and Sue Findley.

Gale was a proud graduate of Mansfield High School and went on to work at Hutchens Steel Plant in Mansfield for 21 years. He was a devoted son and helped his parents with the tasks of running the Findley dairy farm until their last days. Gale was a devoted brother, uncle, cousin, neighbor, and friend. There was not one person who wouldn’t feel joy when around him. Gale liked to play practical jokes on people and he loved to laugh. Very rarely would you see him without his big ornery smile. Gale loved his best friend, Mocha.

Gale was a follower of Jesus and loved his church in Mansfield. From a small child he attended and served his church. Many memories were made singing hymns with his parents, siblings, and nieces. The love of Christ was shown brightly through him in the way he served and loved others.

Gale was known for his love for his brother, Rick and their auction services together. He worked a good deal for many and truly loved rubbing shoulders with those he met at the auctions. He was a proud brother to both of his sisters, often sharing about them and their families. He loved family gatherings where he could see them all and pick on each one a little. He had a special love for all his nieces and nephews. Many memories were shared with him from their childhood and as adults. He was proud of each of them and their accomplishments. Gale had a special bond with his nephew, Paul. There were many times Gale would arrive at the end of church service to take Paul fishing and Paul often would swing by to drop off a soda pop for Gale on his way home from work. Gale was known as a giver! Because he loved to cook, he would often gift others in the Mansfield community with food and talk of Jesus. You would know him to be hanging with his friends at the Mansfield Signal, sending a text of encouragement (a picture of his dog), or be one of the many he helped with life’s struggles. Gale was a friend to everyone he knew and was known for grace and love, along with some straight talk if you needed it, just because he loved you. If he wasn’t sure what to say, you could bet you would always get a joke and that smile. He treated everyone like they meant something to him, because they did.

Gale was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Sue Findley, and his brother-in-law, Dave Kensinger.

He is survived by one brother, Rick Findley and his wife, Lyn; two sisters, Vickie Kensinger and Judy Starrett and her husband, Scott; his many nieces and nephews, Luke Kensinger, Nina Henson, Paul Kensinger, Nikki Henson, Holly Hensley, Cole Findley, Colter Starrett, Tessa Thomas, Newt Starrett, and Caleb Findley and their spouses; many great nieces/nephews, great-great nieces/nephews, and cousins. Gale was loved by his family and the Mansfield community.

Memorial Services for Gale are pending and will be announced when details are determined.
