Funeral services for Lorene Kay King, 74, Mountain View, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, April 6, 2026, at the Langston Street Chapel of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Visitation will precede the service, beginnning at 1PM. Burial will be at Mt. Zion (Poe Hill) Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Mountain View Family Worship Center or Mt. Zion (Poe Hill) Cemetery, and may be left at or mailed to Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, 211 W. Main St., West Plains, Missouri.
Mrs. King passed away at 2:12 a.m., Wednesday, April 1, 2026 at her home.
She was born August 11, 1951, in Cabool, Missouri, to Junior and Amy Henry. Lorene was united in marriage on July 18, 1970, to Jimmie Don King at a Centennial Wedding held at the square in Summersville, Missouri. Lorene was baptized into Christ in Summersville in September, 1970. She attended the First Church of God in West Plains, Missouri. Mrs. King was a registered respiratory therapist and retired from Heart of the Ozarks Medical Equipment in 2010. After retiring, she spent her time at home with family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Jimmie; children, Christa King, Stockton, Missouri, Eric King and wife, Samantha, West Plains, Missouri, Shaina Acklin and fiancee’ Ryan, Mountain View, Missouri and Laura Grunhagen and husband, Steffen, of Germany; her grandchildren, Sara Collins, Hutchinson, Kansas, Shelby Collins, Hutchinson, Kansas, Sophia King, United Kingdom, England, Aryk Clayton, Titus and Ana King, West Plains and Ove; her great-grandchildren, Dakota, Kaylee and Walker Francis, Mountain View, Missouri, Kryan, Rylan and Aviana Collins, Hutchinson, Kansas and Angel Tres Melandez and Penelopea Perez, Hutchinson, Kansas; three brothers, Thomas Henry and wife, Lana, Neosho, Missouri, Joe Henry and wife, Donna, Thayer, Missouri and Robert Henry, Summersville, Missouri; sisters-in-law, Janice (wife of the late James Henry) and Christie (wife of the late Lonnie Henry); and several nieces and nephews.
Her parents, one sister, Donna Henry and three brothers, Leon Junior Henry, Lonnie Ray Henry and James Henry, preceded her in death.
