Funeral Services for Helen Bernadine Holt, Age 82 of Winona, Missouri will be held on Wednesday, April 15th, 2026 at The Yarber Mortuary, Winona Missouri, beginning at 11:00 AM. Burial will be held in the hour prior at 10:00 AM. Interment will be in the Bethany-Chapel Cemetery, Eminence, Missouri.
Helen Bernadine (Myers) Holt was born on June 11, 1942, in the family home of Homer and Suda Mae (Rayfield) Myers on Rocky Creek in Shannon County, Missouri. She departed this life in her home on April 10, 2026, fulfilling her final wish on this Earth, to be reunited with her husband, Doyle.
She was raised in a loving family with four siblings: William “Bill” Myers, Dorothy Lee Myers, Samuel “Sammy” Myers, and Edward “Ed” Myers, all of Winona, Missouri. Making Bernadine the baby of the family. She attended a one-room schoolhouse at Horner School House on Rocky Creek and graduated from Winona High School in 1959.
On July 29, 1961, Bernadine was united in marriage to Doyle Holt at Bethany Chapel, and they began living the American dream by building a home on Rocky Creek. Soon one daughter was born to this union and they named her Bernadette.
Bernadine was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle; her parents, Homer and Suda Mae Myers; and her four siblings, William, Dorothy, Samuel, and Edward. She was the last to be reunited with them.
Bernadine worked at Paramount Cap Manufacturing in Winona, Missouri, alongside Doyle for 34 years. On February 19, 1994, she was blessed with one granddaughter, Regan Alexis Holt. She gained the title of “Nanny,” which filled her life with great joy, and on October 3, 2009, she gained a son-in-law, Dennis Ray Osborn.
She found joy in cooking, baking, gardening, and spending time with family and friends, but above all, she cherished welcoming others into her home to celebrate holidays and special occasions. Bernadine was a cherished daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and the very special Aunt Bernie to many nieces and nephews. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
