Funeral Services for Jake Mcneil, Age 27 of Mansfield, Missouri will be held on Tuesday, September 9th, 2025 at The Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home, Mansfield Missouri beginning at 10:00 AM. Viewing will take place at The Funeral Home from 8:30 AM- 4:30 PM on Monday, September 8th, 2025.
Jacob “Jake” Ross McNeil, son of Pete McNeil and Teresa Barcus, born November 3, 1997, in Springfield, Missouri, departed this life September 3, 2025, at his home in Mansfield, Missouri, at the age of 27 years and 10 months.
Jake was born and raised in Mansfield and graduated from Mansfield High School class of 2016. Following graduation, Jake worked various jobs, including welding, mechanic, construction, concrete, and dirt work. He was a jack of all trades and was talented at everything he did.
Jake loved his family. He loved to hang out, spending time with his family and friends. No one was a stranger to him. He loved his kids BIG!! Jake would give the shirt off his back. He was one of a kind, an old soul. No matter the time of day or the request, Jake would be there for you. In his spare time, Jake loved to fish with friends. He also loved to ride motorcycles and dirt bikes.
Jake was preceded in death by his papa, Charlie Barcus, papa, Dwayne McNeil, Aunnie, Janice McNeil, and his grandpa and grandma, Burrel and Marjorie Loftin.
He is survived by three beautiful kids, Sophie, Easton, and Charlie, his parents, Pete McNeil and Teresa Barcus, stepmom, Bertie, two brothers, Aaron McNeil and his wife, April, and Dalton McNeil and his wife, Bethany, one sister, Sydney Alexander and her husband, Logan, one stepbrother, Travis Conley and significant other, Kayla, one stepsister, Christy McIntosh and husband, Brandon, nine nephews, Hestyn, Duttyn, Sterling, Kaidyn, Luka, Hoyt, Corbin, Blake, and Jaxson, and many more family and friends.
Jake was a loving father, son, uncle, and friend. This world got just a little dimmer the day he left us, but his memory will live on in our hearts forever.
