Kathleen Martin, 70, was born March 8, 1955, in Summersville, Missouri, to Earl and Hazel (Campbell) Banks. She departed this life on April 15, 2025 at her home in Mountain View, Missouri.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Hazel and Earl Banks; husband, Lane Martin; two brothers, Harold “Windy” Banks and John Banks; three sisters, Shirley Patton, Carol Smith, and Betty Boyett.
Survivors include her daughter, Brandi Strain (Dustin Barker) of Birch Tree, MO; granddaughters, Lorelai and Alexandria Crider of Birch Tree, MO; brother, Kenny (Olean) Banks of Summersville, MO; special niece, Karen Basham of Eminence, MO; special friend, Tim Dyer of Eminence, MO; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Kathleen enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She liked hunting, going to the river and watching Cardinals Baseball. However, what brought her the most joy in life was spending time with her granddaughters and watching them playing various sports. They brought her tremendous pride and were her favorite topic of conversation. Kathleen loved to laugh and considered a sense of humor and a good personality two of the most important character traits a person could have, and she was blessed with both.
Her family will remember her for her heartfelt kindness, authentic laughter, and the joyous moments shared together.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at Yarber Mortuary Church, Eminence, MO, with Pastor Eric Tripp officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1-2:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. Interment will be in Munsell Cemetery, Eminence. Condolences may be expressed at www.yarbermortuary.com.
