Keith E. Burgess, 64, of West Plains, passed away at his home in the early morning hours on April 12, 2025, with his loving wife, Ernie, at his side.
Keith was a Howell County native his whole life, born and raised here. He worked in construction and could do any task he was assigned to on the job. Keith and Ernie were married in Poplar Bluff in August 1998 at their family reunion.
He loved to hunt, fish, welding, gardening, tractors and being outdoors.
Keith is survived by his wife, Ernie, of the family home, a daughter-in-law, Carrie Sampson, a step grandson, Dominick Sampson, his brother Royce Burgess and two sisters.
He was preceded in death by; his parents, Lester and Evelyn Burgess, and his brother Ronnie Burgess.
Keith is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date where Keith will be interred in the family plot at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Pomona, Missouri.
