Kenneth James Cline, Sr

Kenneth James Cline, 87, of Doniphan, MO. has peacefully exchanged his winged, leather Harley Davidson vest for the ardent wings required for the final journey to embrace all brethren and beloved family preceding him within the kingdom beyond.  Kenneth’s passing occurred appropriately at the John J. Pershing VA Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, MO.; for his first winding road trip was spent primarily as a combat engineer while serving one tour in Korea and two tours in Vietnam, on behalf of the United States Army.  Kenneth earned the Bronze Star and Army Commendation medals denoted with a “V” for the valor he displayed in combat operations. Kenneth’s second long ride occurred upon retiring in 1977. After a 20-year military career, Kenneth wheelied into Doniphan, MO., joining his family as a resident and continued with a profession spent principally as the maintenance foreman for the Missouri Forge.  His last boundless venture upon life’s throughfare occurred when Mr. Cline permanently retired from the work force and enjoyed the cycle therapy of straddling two wheels across the lower 48 of the United States of America while respectfully creating shenanigans inspired by an eventful life.

Mr. Cline’s hog was kick started in Caseyville, IL on February 10, 1938, to the late James and Alta Cline. Kenneth is survived by his sister Phyllis Cullen and brother Dennis Cline and preceded in passing by his siblings Wayne Cline and Narretta Acree. Kenneth is also preceded in passing by his first wife Liselotte Ursula Cline and their four surviving children Sylvia Ursula Pigg (Danny), Kay Lee Grimmett (Carmen), Kenneth James Cline Jr. (Rhonda) and Brian Allen Cline (Jeanne). In addition, he is preceded by his second wife, his soul’s riding partner, Janet Lynn Cline and her two surviving children Tonya R. Epperson and Eric N. Presley.  Mr. Cline’s legacy continues with several grandchildren and their descendants.
