Marlys Ulm, 92, of Oviedo, Florida passed into eternity October 13, 2025.
Marlys was born August 12, 1933, near Readlyn, Iowa to Herman and Minnie Marie (Musch) Meihost.
She graduated from Readlyn High School, then married Walter F. Ulm on February 1, 1953, at St. Matthews Lutheran Church near Readlyn.
She worked for Bell Telephone Company for thirty years and retired in 1984. She is a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in West Plains, Missouri.
Marlys is survived by her children Barbara O’Quinn of Oviedo, Florida, Daniel Ulm of West Plains, Missouri, and Mark Ulm of Clarksville, Tennessee; nine grandchildren, Thomas, Marlyn, Lauren, David, Emily, Daniel, Matthew, Raegan and Hollie; five great grandchildren, Genevieve, Benjamin, James, Thomas III, and Isabel.
She is preceded in death by her husband, son Reverend David M. Ulm, and two brothers, Harold and Calvin Meihost.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Immanuel Lutheran Church which will go towards their sound system. If you would like, contributions can be left at the funeral home and we will see the church gets them.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 19, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, West Plains, Missouri.
There will be visitation on the same day from 1:00 p.m. until time of service.
Burial will be at Howell Memorial Park Cemetery, West Plains, Missouri, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains, Missouri.
