Funeral Services for Michael Drew Anderson, Age 41 of Ava, Missouri will be held Thursday, September 4th, 2025, at 1:00 PM at The Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava Missouri. Visitation will precede the service, begnning at 12-Noon.
Burial will be in the Dyer Cemetery, Ava. Officiating will be his uncle, Pastor Randy Gray.
Michael Drew Anderson, 41 years, 8 months, 17 days old, passed away on September 1, 2025, in Cox South Hospital, Springfield, Missouri, with his family by his side.
On December 15, 1983, Drew was born in Shawnee Mission, Kansas, to Michael David and Cleo Kathy (Gray) Anderson. He grew up in Springfield, Missouri.
As a young boy he lived in Joplin, Missouri and later moved to Springfield. He became a manager of retail at the Battlefield Mall for several years. Drew came down with a illness that caused him to retire early. After the passing of his father and mother, he lived with his grandparents, Robert and Katy Mock in Springfield.
Drew loved music and enjoyed watching the Kansas City Chiefs. He was a Christian and of the Pentecostal faith. He had a lot of will power and faith to regain his ability to walk and drive again.
He was preceded in death by his father, Michael Anderson; his mother, Cleo Kathy Anderson; and his paternal grandparents.
Drew is survived by his grandparents, Katy Mock and her husband, Robert, and Richard Gray; his uncles and their spouses, Rick and Renee Gray, Randy and Joyce Gray, Ronnie and Deborah Gray, Richard and Leesa Gray, and Reggie Gray; many nieces; nephews; cousins; and numerous friends.
