Mildred Eileen (King) Hayes was born in Hazard Kentucky on March 13, 1951, went home to be with her parents Charles and Reba (Cornett) King, brother Mike, nephew Michael, father-in-law Jack, and other loved ones on December 14, 2025.
Millie was a loving wife to Wes Hayes for the past 29 years. Mother to Meredith, Raymond, Lisa, Teresa, Travis, and Troy. Mammaw to Andrew, Nathan, Wesley, Emilee, Alex, Aubrey, Kylie, Wyatt, Karissa, Josh, Bailey, Ransom, Blaike, Brooklyn, Briley, and Stacy. Great Mammaw to Carson, Leighton, Parker, Greyson, Hudson, Jackson, Kade, and Paisleigh. Millie is survived by siblings, Madeline, James, Irene, and Jeff.
Millie found enjoyment in being a restaurant owner for many years along with taking many rides with her husband sightseeing and looking for mushrooms. Her greatest enjoyment and accomplishment in life was her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Many times, when the family were together, you would find her at a stove, cooking some of their favorite meals and desserts. She would give the shirt off her back for many and even upon her passing, she was able to provide miracles to people because she was a donor.
She will be greatly missed by anyone who knew her, but especially her family. She was our angel. Know that we love you, a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck even when we die.
